New NFPA® Firefighter Training Courses to Be on Display at FDIC International 2017i

TargetSolutions first training IT application management provider for public safety agencies, focuses on two new training series in NFPA® FDIC International 2017 at booth # 13018.

Stop by booth # 13018 at showroom hours to get a complete view of 14 new video courses prepared in accordance with NFPA® 1410 and three new courses for NFPA® 1041 instructors. These dynamic training classes, written from Agreement with the NFPA, give the TargetSolutions online course catalog 80 hours NFPA® training and over 700 training hours for fire services.

The 1410 series offers NFPA® detailed step-by-step video demonstrations of each evolution. TargetSolutions representatives will have the FDIC to provide participants with an overview of the series, which was streamed to customers in March.

The courses were written and directed by Paul Costello, a training officer at the Hillsborough County Fire Brigade in Florida and produced in collaboration with the St. Charles fire department in St. Charles, Missouri, and Pasco Firefighters Of Land O 'Lakes County, Florida

"The events of 1410 are the basic developments and multi-companies were established as the standard for NFPA," said Costello. "They are representative of some of the most important sets of core competencies that fire companies must practice and master because they are the bread and butter of what we do in a firing range."

TargetSolutions also provides live demonstrations of their new NFPA® 1041 training package during the FDIC showroom hours. The courses, scheduled for early April, focusing on the skills and knowledge of how fire instructors.

The three classes provide a natural progression for an individual develops input to the head of training instruction. Topics explored in this series include preparation and presentation of a topic, instructor credibility, curriculum development, instructor selection, and much more.

"NFPA 1041 changes things and addresses the issue from the instructor's perspective," said Bryan Fitzgerald, responsible for TargetSolutions content. "These courses give instructors the tools to develop and manage a successful training program."

On the other hand, TargetSolutions sponsoring a special class session "NFPA 1403: Risk Management Tool for the Fire Instructor" Walter Morris, director of the training program at the Maine Fire Service Institute, will present on the subject. The session will take place on Friday, April 28 at 10:30 in the room of 132-133.

CFPS Exam Details

The Certified Fire Protection Specialist Board (CFPS) was formed in 1971 for the purpose of documenting competency and offering professional recognition for individuals involved in fire protection, fire safety, and fire prevention. In 1998, CFPS and NFPA partnered to jointly offer this highly regarded certification program.

The CFPS Board credential has been awarded to more than 2,000 professionals and is internationally recognized as a mark of achievement within the fire protection field. This group of professionals includes risk managers, loss control specialists, fire officers, fire marshals, fire inspectors, safety managers, fire protection consultants, designers, code enforcers, loss prevention professionals, building code officials, commercial real estate managers and others who have responsibilities dealing with the application of fire safety, fire protection, prevention, and suppression technologies.
